Assessment 02 : (1) Appraisal of the worth of an intelligence activity, source information, or product in terms of its contribution to a specific goal, or the credibility, reliability, pertinence, accuracy, or usefulness of information in terms of an intelligence need. When used in context with evaluation, assessment implies a weighing against resource allocation, expenditure or risk. (2) An independent evaluation of a model or simulation by a BMDO-sponsored Confidence Assessment Team for a specified purpose
