Outcome 3
Outcome 3 : The outcome is the final state of the game. The outcome of a game is quantifiable, meaning that it is meant to be clear whether the outcome was one or another; who won the game (Salen & Zimmerman 2004, 96). Games set in persistent worlds do not necessarily have an outcome. It is the valorization of the potential outcomes of a game that gives a game a goal and lets the players win or lose.
