Outputs Versus Outcomes

Outputs Versus Outcomes :

TDM programs have two types of results: outputs and outcomes. Outputs are the activities and processes of the program itself. They are the actions taken to achieve the overall goals of the program. Outputs include measures like the number of customers served or the number of brochures distributed. Outputs are necessary to achieving outcomes. Outcomes are the results of the program that will be measured against the overall goals. These may include emissions reduced, mode shift, or VKT reduced
