P Value 1 : The exponent of the time factor in the modified Omori relation showing the rate of decay of aftershock occurrence. A higher p value indicates more rapid decay. Estimated p values for most aftershock sequences fall between 0.9 and 1.5. In the original Omori relation, the p value is fixed as 1. See Utsu (2002b)
