Paleomagnetic Pole


Paleomagnetic Pole : An estimate of the geomagnetic pole of the Earth at a certain time in the past by averaging the paleomagnetic field over a sufficient long period of time, e.g., 104 to 105 years, from rocks which acquired the paleomagnetic field at that time. See Uyeda (2002), and Merrill et al. (1998)
