Parallel Planning

Parallel Planning :

Parallel planning describes those rare situations when planning occurs concurrently across all Federal Planning levels for a specific scenario or threat. The higher planning level must still lead off the parallel planning effort to inform the next level's planning. The key distinction with parallel planning is that the lower planning level does not have to wait for the higher planning level's approved plan to begin planning. This is essential to speed up the process and allows participating organizations the maximum time to conduct their own planning. Parallel planning relies on accurate and timely notification from the higher planning level and a full sharing of information between planning levels as it becomes available.
