Pathogens 2 : Microorganisms (e.g., bacteria, viruses, fungi or protozoans) that can cause disease in humans, animals, or plants. Some pathogens are highly specific to particular species; others can require two or more types of organisms to complete their life cycles, while others can opportunistically move among several or many host species
