Peak Hour Volume
Peak Hour Volume : The maximum traffic count observed in any 60 minute interval during a day. In rural areas it is usually sufficient to quote a single peak hour volume. In urban areas two peak hour volumes are often considered: one for the morning and one for the evening. This practice is adopted because of the likelihood of significant differences in the directional flows on urban roads at different times of day
