Perquisites (Perks) : These constitute any incidental profit from service, beyond salary or wages; hence any privilege or benefit claimed as due. These would include such things as overseas travel, usage of a company maintained automobile, payment of utilities, usage of "executive" dining and restroom facilities, etc. "Perks" for the most part, are viewed as income by the Inland Revenue Service and the monetary values are assigned for purposes of calculating the pay as you earn (PAYE) taxes
